Design Notes

Transcription of NodC can be regulated by addition of arabinose (binds AraC and promotes transcription). In absence of arabinose AraC represses the gene transcription to avoid large accumulation (autoregulation). Therefore the induction can be adjustable regulated (BBa_K808000). The cleavage sites were inserted for easier promoter exchange.

Source

The gene is originating from the gram-negative bacteria Rhizobium leguminosarum. The sequence was taken from UniProt (A0A088MB42) and sequenced via IDT.
